TURF SIZES
Mammoth Rolls - 1.2M X 30M, Thick cut turf, Turf Slabs or Turf rolls
Turf Force understands that each and every job is different. For your convenience we can provide your turf in a variety of shapes and sizes. For the smaller or leaner jobs our turf is cut into 1200mm X 600mm rolls or slabs. For the larger commercial projects we can provide Maxi turf rolls that can measure up to 1.2m wide X 30m long. Turf Force also has the ability to cut the turf to a certain thickness leaving a larger amount of soil on the base of the turf which can assist its growth whilst also acting as a solid anchor ifor those areas on a slope.

WASHED TURF
At Turf Force we know that a lot of time and money goes into the preperation of some areas, especially those that are extremely important such as Skilled Stadium on the Gold Coast. Contamination of an area such as this with the introduction of any foreign objects could have implications on the entire project. To lessen the possibility of this occurring Turf Force has the equipment in place to wash its turf, leaving bare roots and turf leaves free of all dirt and foreign material.

SITE PREPARATION
Before laying down a fresh new lawn it is imperative that your area is prepared right ensuring a flat, lush, green lawn that is disease and weed free. Before beggining any job Turf Force uses a chemical spray to remove weed or other turf varieties that may impact your new lawn. After a week the old area is taken out with either a turf cutter or bobcat. Fresh topsoil is then put down with a small mixture of water crystals and fertilser that will ensure your turfs proper establishment and ongoing survival. Turf Force can provide this entire service which has always been very popular amongst our clients and custromers. Alternatively the option is always there for you to conduct this procedure yourself. KORO FIELD TOPMAKER - SURFACE RESTORATION
The Koro Fieldtopmaker is the ideal machine for most major surface restoration projects. It can be used on all existing turf sport facilities, such as: sports fields, golf courses, grass tennis courts, bowling greens, race tracks, as well as natural terrains.

HYDROMULCHING AND SEEDING
Hydromulching and seeding is the process of combining grass seed, fertilizers and fibre mulch to form a slush like mixture that can be applied to a flat or sloping soil surface with high pressure hoses.
It is a viable process for grassing large areas such as parks and can also be used for smaller areas such as residential back yards.
Initially the hydromulching /seeding application works out to be a less expensive alternative to laying slabs of turf, however in the long term (depending on the environment and weather conditions) the maintenance and upkeep of establishing the seed could work out to be a similar cost as installing ready to lay turf.
Hydromulching/ seeding can take up to 2-4 months depending on external factors to fully establish itself. It can assist with preventing some erosion, and also acts as insulation which keeps the moisture locked in and soil temperature to a consistent level.

SOIL AERATION
Soil aeration is important for any lawn as it can become compacted and hard over time from a number of reasons. This compacting of the soil can turn your area into a cement like bind preventing drainage that would naturally occur. Within this cement like bind air pockets can be formed eventually filling with water, which then leads a logging effect that restricts oxygen to the soils organisms and turfs root system which is essential for healthy growth and development. This along with carbon dioxide build up and stale water causes bacteria to from which can lead to your lawns demise.

TOP DRESSING
With Sand, Soil or Granulised Rubber
Top dressing is a major benefit to any lawn provided it’s done at the right time of year. Topdressing is simply the application of soil, sand or rubber (depending on your requirements) to your lawns area. The reason why we top dress is to fill any low areas, holes in your lawn or to build up an area to a desired height. Topdressing also assits your grass in reestablishing and spreading itself by giving the turf something to bind and grow into.
Top dressing your lawn with a sand or soil mix and the right slope can provide better drainage for your area that may become water logged when heavy rain occurs. Using granular rubbers is common in sporting fields or high traffic areas. The rubber absorbs the constant compression and provides protection to the root system which limits wear and tear on the turf.
