Most installers never see the lawn again. We spend half our week servicing turf other people laid — so we know exactly which shortcuts show up later, and we don't take them.
The base is the job. Everything else is rolling out a carpet.
Turf that fails almost never fails at the turf. It fails underneath — a base that wasn't compacted properly and has settled into dips, drainage that was never really thought about, edges fixed in a way that lets them lift the first time the ground moves.
None of that is visible on handover day. Every one of those lawns looks perfect in the photos. It shows up in year three, when the water starts sitting in one corner after rain, or the seam down the middle starts to open.
We know which ones fail, because we're the ones getting called out to them.
That's not a slogan — it's just what happens when you run both sides of the business. Every week we're on our knees in someone else's install, extracting infill that compacted early because the base was wrong, or repairing a seam that was adhered on a hot afternoon and never had a chance. You learn what lasts by being there when things don't.
So we build the base with the next fifteen years in mind, not the handover photo. It costs a bit more time up front. It's the entire difference.

Site visit and quote
We measure, check drainage and access, look at shade and how you actually use the space. You get a written number, not a range.
Excavation and prep
Existing surface out, levels set, and the fall worked out so water goes where it should rather than where it ends up.
Base build and compaction
Crushed rock laid, screeded and compacted in layers. This is the step that decides whether the lawn is still flat in ten years.
Turf laid, joined and fixed
Rolls run in one direction so the pile reads consistently, seams joined so they disappear, edges fixed to hold.
Infill and power broom
Infill spread to the right rate for the surface and brushed up so the pile stands. This sets how it feels and how it drains.
Walk-through and aftercare
We show you what to expect, what's normal, and roughly when it'll want its first service. Written down, not just mentioned at the gate.
We're still here in year five.
Artificial grass isn't maintenance-free. It's mowing-free. Every lawn eventually needs the infill decompacted, the fibres stood back up and the whole thing sanitised — and every installer who tells you otherwise has already decided they won't be the one dealing with it.
We service what we install. Same phone number, same person, no handover to a stranger who has to work out how your lawn was built. We already know — we built it.
That's the part worth weighing when you're comparing quotes. A cheaper install from someone who disappears isn't cheaper; it just moves the cost to year four and hands it to somebody who has to guess.
